    Psalm of Love
(A psalm for my unborn child)

My heart is so full of love already
Full of love for the child who grows inside me

    My body changes everyday
My stomach no longer lies flat,
    Your presence here is known

Time is going by too slow, like a closely watched clock
Nine months seems an eternity to wait to see you and hear your sweet sounds
However, the time will be here soon

Now tears are running off my face
As the nurse places you in my arms and I feel you silky smooth skin
I hear you soft cry, which is like music to my ears

My heart fills with more love than I could ever image
As you look me in the eyes and grab a hold of my finger
    4:12 pm
    Hunger for Love
She sees their eyes burn like fire, but not from love
She watches their mouths drop open and drool from thirst
They want her, she knows, they need her, but not for love
Her heart bleeds for just one sign of love from any of them
One sign of kindness, and gentleness to her, and her body
They attack in herds, like ravenous animals
Hungry for her taste, her smell, her touch
She resists them not, for this is her destiny
She is not real anymore, but merely fantasy
She tried to avoid this horrible fate
But when they first attacked her, she grew with hate
For herself, and her body, she knew she deserved it
So, she accepts her fate with open arms and bare chest
For wild beasts to paw at her, and do as they wish
But still deep inside she hides her own hunger and thirst
To be loved and held dear, lost no more
    Ah to be free!

    I Am Broaddus
I am the little town of Broaddus
Here is my heart, beating for my own
Veins and blood run through us all
Ears of mercy hear my plea
As my voice echoes through, to thee
    My mouth opens?. listen
    Tired legs and aching feet
Long to rest and walk no more
Weekend comes, so weak and frail?they fall
My eyes are smoky and yearn for fresh air
They burn from boredom and itch with stupidity
I shall water my eyes?for a clearer picture
Tiny fingers of a still small hand
Whispering secrets to all who listen
Telling lies that all believe, soon to find their fate

    Finally finished....what do you think?
Gazing out upon the empty field, she called home, Kaci's eyes widen as they catch a glimpse of the giant willow tree. This was his favorite place, she thought. He liked it so much because it was the most peaceful spot on the whole acre. She recalled the countless hours he would spend down by that tree. Gosh, he would have probably lived in that tree if she would let him. It was a particularly special tree, so full of life and beauty, but now all Kaci saw when she looked at it was sorrow and complete emptiness.
As she walks closer to the tree, she notices the tiny imprint carved into that giant tree. It was done with such delicacy, it is slightly faded now from all the years past, but still comprehendible. She places her hand over the small name and takes a deep breath, ?Daniel." She slowly removes her small hand from the giant tree and lowers her head as her eyes begin to fill with tears.
It has been almost a century since that giant tree became a very important part of the Thompson?s acre. Her great grandparents planted it back when her grandfather was born, a tradition carried on throughout the lifespan of the Thompson family. She recalled the hundreds of times she?d been told the stories of that giant tree from when her grandfather first played on it, to her father, and then Daniel. The giant tree had always brought such laughter and happiness to the Thompson family, until that day.
It was a special summer day on the acre for the Thompson family. Daniel was turning seven today, but going on seventeen his mother would say. He was awake very early to help his father with the chores, while his mother prepared breakfast. He was a bright and caring boy, always willing to help when needed, but he was also just like any other little boy his age, and loved to go out exploring. Therefore, today his father was going to take him to see the giant tree.
Daniel was so excited when he learned that he was going to be able to see the giant tree that he had only heard about before. He could never visit the giant tree before, because of how far it was from the house. The Thompson acre was very big and his mother did not believe he was old enough to go off that far on his own yet. However, today she was going to let his father take him, and show him the giant tree.
After the first moment Daniel encountered the giant tree, he was never the same little boy. Every extra minute he had during his summer vacation, after doing his chores, he spent in that tree. He even built a tree house in that giant tree. His mother disapproved of all the time he spent with that giant tree. She became concerned and spoke with his father about keeping him from the giant tree. His father agreed it was probably a good idea for Daniel to spend less time in the giant tree. Daniel felt crushed by his parent?s decision to keep him from his only joyful activity that he pouted for days.
After a couple weeks had past his parents forgot about the whole incident and everyone went about their business. Until that Sunday, when the Kaci called the men in for dinner, but Daniel was nowhere to be found. They called for him but he never answered. Kaci had a terrible sickness in her stomach, and she cried for her husband to run to the giant tree and see if Daniel was there. Her husband, sensing the fear in his wife?s voice quickly ran off in the direction of the giant tree.
The minutes seemed to pass so slowly, but within an hour, Kaci?s worst nightmare had become reality. She saw the figure walking to her in the distant darkness, carrying something. What was it? What happened? However, she knew she did not even have to ask herself these questions, as she saw her husbands face, as he carried the limp body of their only son.
Now as Kaci?s eyes are filled with tears, her husband gently leads her away from the giant tree. The men quickly take their positions surrounding the giant tree and raise their tools. Her cries of heartache are uncontrollable now, as she releases her pain. She falls into her husband?s chest, and he wraps his arms around her, as the giant tree quickly met its death.

    Obsession?!?!
In my fiction writing workshop my teacher told us all to figure out what our obsessions were and to write about them. He says that whatever we are passionate about and obsessed over that will always come out in our writings if we write them whole-heartedly. I think that is probably a pretty accurate saying, I mean if you read a particular writers variety of work then you can see a trend of some kind whether its love, or death or life or hatred. I wonder what my obsessions are? Hmmmm? I will have to think about that one? What about YOU? Do you know what you're obsessions are? what you are passionate about in life? Well just something to think about!

Which one do you think is better???

What would all of you like to hear about next...what should the next scene of this story be?
